''Gentleman cambrioleur'' is the fifth studio album by Canadian singer Garou, and his sixth album overall. This is Garou's first cover album, covering songs from artists such as Jacques Dutronc. The title refers to fictional character Arsene Lupin, who was often referred as ''Gentleman Cambrioleur'' (Gentleman Thief in French). Garou (singer)
Pierre Garand (born 26 June 1972), known by his stage name Garou (a diminutive of his last name "Garand"), is a Canadian singer and entertainer from Sherbrooke, Québec. He is known for his work in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris (playing Quasimodo in both the original French and English casts) and the No. 1 hits " Belle", "Seul", " Sous le vent", and "La Rivière de notre enfance". Profile Garou was born in Canada. Garou began playing the guitar at the age of three at the encouragement of his father (he also plays piano and trumpet). Catherine Ringer
Catherine Ringer (, born 18 October 1957 in Suresnes, France) is a French singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, choreographer, actress, and co-founder of the pop rock group Les Rita Mitsouko. She is also the daughter of French artist Sam Ringer. Biography Ringer started her professional career on stage in the late 1970s in productions with Michael Lonsdale's ''Théâtre de Recherche Musicale'' as well as musical and dance productions. In 1976, she met the Argentine dancer and choreographer Marcia Moretto with whom she studied and also performed in various venues in Paris. The hit song " Marcia Baïla" was written as a tribute to Moretto after her death in 1981. In 1979, she met Fred Chichin with whom she founded and co-led the music group Les Rita Mitsouko. Fred Chichin
Frédéric "Fred" Chichin (; 1 May 1954 – 28 November 2007) was a French musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was part of the pop-rock duo Les Rita Mitsouko, along with Catherine Ringer, whom he met in 1979. Prior to his work in Les Rita Mitsouko, Chichin had been active in the rock bands Fassbinder (with Jean Neplin), Taxi Girl (with Daniel Darc), and Gazoline (with Alain Kan). Chichin died on the morning of 28 November 2007 from heart failure, following complications of the cancer the doctors had diagnosed two months earlier. George Thurston
Sir George Thurston KBE (1869 – 22 January 1950) was a British naval architect in the early half of the 20th century. Life and career Born Thomas George Owens in 1869, he trained in naval architecture in Liverpool and Newcastle upon Tyne and worked on mercantile shipbuilding.
