Genovevo De La O
Genovevo de la O (January 3, 1876 – June 12, 1952) was an important figure in the Mexican Revolution in Morelos. He was born in Santa María Ahuacatitlán, Morelos,Genovevo de la O accessed Dec 28, 2018 to sharecropper parents. He was dedicated to the plight of Mexico's peasants and came to be an outstanding Liberation Army of the South guerrilla general. After Emiliano Zapata's death, he and the other guerrillas threw their lot in with Álvaro Obregón and went on to become a minor but long-lasting figure in national politics. Early life From his earliest days, de la O stood out as a defender of his hometown and its people. He fought ceaselessly against the encroachments of the neighboring hacienda of Temixco, against deforestation, and against land dispossession in general. Genovevo Morejón (born 3 January 1954) is a Cuban former track and field athlete who competed in the hammer throw. His personal best was , set in Havana on 20 June 1980. His greatest honour was the gold medal at the Pan American Games in 1983, becoming the first Caribbean man to win that title. Morejón was also a gold medallist at the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1983 Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics – the latter included a championship record of . Genovevo Rivas Guillén
Genevevo Rivas Guillén (1886–1947) was a Mexican general and provisional Governor of San Luis Potosi. Origin Rivas was born in Rayon, San Luis Potosí in 1886. He joined the revolutionary forces and participated in the Mexican Revolution beginning in 1910, under the command of General Alberto Carrera Torres, where he was ranked lieutenant. Battle of Carrizal On June 21, 1916, during the Punitive Expedition, a column of the U.S. Army under the command of Captain Charles T. Boyd were marching towards Rancho Santo Domingo from Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua, overstepped the geographic limits granted to the Americans when the Mexican government of Venustiano Carranza approved the expedition.
