Genius (UK TV Series)
''Genius'' is a comedy game show on BBC Two, adapted from the original radio series hosted by the comedian Dave Gorman. On ''Genius'', members of the public submit a range of unusual ideas and inventions for Gorman and guest celebrity judges to decide whether the idea is "Genius". The first series began airing on 20 March 2009, following the success of an unbroadcast pilot. A second series started filming in May 2010, with quite a few changes to the format. Six episodes were recorded and began broadcasting on 27 September 2010. Genius was axed after the 2nd series by the BBC. When asked on Twitter if it was coming back Dave Gorman said, "Afraid not". Dave Gorman
David James Gorman (born 2 March 1971) is an English comedian, presenter, and writer. Gorman began his career writing for comedy series such as ''The Mrs Merton Show'' (1993–1998) and ''The Fast Show'' (1994–1997), and later garnered acclaim for his stand-up shows, one of which earned him a nomination for a Perrier Award. He became widely known for his ''Are You Dave Gorman?'' stage show, which he debuted at the 2000 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and of which the television adaptation was broadcast as ''The Dave Gorman Collection'' in 2001. Jane Moore
Jane Moore (born 17 May 1962) is an English journalist, author and television presenter, best known as a columnist for '' The Sun'' newspaper and as a panellist and anchor on the ITV lunchtime chat show ''Loose Women'' between 1999 and 2002, returning as a regular panellist on 15 October 2013. Hazel Irvine
Hazel Irvine (born 24 May 1965) is a Scottish sports presenter. Early life Irvine was born in St Andrews, Scotland. Educated at Hermitage Academy in Helensburgh, she achieved an MA in History of Art at the University of St. Andrews, and competed in golf, netball and athletics at university level. In her final year she was Senior Student of Hamilton Hall. Russell Joseph Howard (born 23 March 1980) is an English comedian, television presenter, radio presenter, and actor.
