Genesis Owusu
Kofi Owusu-Ansah (born 1998 Ghana), known by his stage name Genesis Owusu, is a Ghanaian-Australian singer from Canberra. He is the younger brother of fellow hip hop rapper, Kojo Owusu-Ansah Citizen Kay. Owusu's debut studio album, ''Smiling with No Teeth'' (March 2021), reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 30. At the 2021 ARIA Music Awards he won four trophies for Album of the Year, Best Hip Hop Release, Best Independent Release and Best Cover Art (latter shared with Bailey Howard). Early years Genesis Owusu was born Kofi Owusu-Ansah on 17 August 1998 in Koforidua, Ghana. His older brother, Kojo (born ca. 1994), is also a rapper who performs as Citizen Kay. Koforidua, also popularly known as K-dua or Kofcity, is a city and the capital of Eastern Region, Ghana, Eastern Region in southern Ghana. Koforidua was founded in 1875 by migrants from Ashanti. Touch Sensitive is the solo project of Michael Di Francesco, an Australian producer and musician from Sydney, also known as a member of Van She. His debut single "Body Stop" was released in 2004. Touch Sensitive's 2013 single "Pizza Guy" attained popularity in an advertisement for Very. In September 2017, Touch Sensitive released the debut album ''Visions''. The Australian Music Prize (often shortened to the AMP) is an annual award of $30,000 given to an Australian band or solo artist in recognition of the merit of an album released during the year of award. The award was made by Australian Music Prize Ltd, a sole-purpose entity sponsored by a variety of music industry figures and record companies. The AMP was established in 2005. Akan Language
Akan () is a Central Tano language and the principal native language of the Akan people of Ghana, spoken over much of the southern half of Ghana. About 80% of Ghana's population can speak Akan, and about 44% of Ghanaians are native speakers. It is also spoken in parts of Côte d'Ivoire. Four dialects have been developed as literary standards with distinct orthographies: Asante, Akuapem, Bono (collectively known as Twi), and Fante; which, despite being mutually intelligible, were inaccessible in written form to speakers of the other standards until the Akan Orthography Committee (AOC)'s development of a common Akan orthography in 1978, based mainly on Akuapem Twi.
