Gene Vuckovich
William Eugene "Gene" Vuckovich (March 9, 1936 - July 12, 2022) was an American politician who served as a member of the Montana Senate for the 39th district from 2011 to 2019. He was elected for Senate District 39, representing the Anaconda, Montana Anaconda, county seat of Deer Lodge County, which has a consolidated city-county government, is located in southwestern Montana, United States. Jesse Laslovich
Jesse A. Laslovich (born October 3, 1980) is an American attorney and politician who has served as the United States Attorney for the District of Montana since 2022. He previously served as a member of the Montana House of Representatives and Montana Senate. Early life and education Laslovich was born and raised in Anaconda, Montana. After graduating from Anaconda High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 2003 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Montana in 2006. Career Laslovich has worked as an attorney for Datsopoulos, MacDonald & Lind PC of Missoula. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Montana School of Law. Laslovich was assistant attorney general to Montana Attorney General Mike McGrath. He later served as chief legal counsel to the Montana state auditor. Mark Allen Sweeney (May 27, 1959 – May 6, 2022) was an American politician and businessman who served as a member of the Montana Senate for the 39th district from January 4, 2021, until his death. Early life and education Sweeney was born in Butte, Montana on May 27, 1959. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in natural resource management from the University of Montana Western. Career Sweeney served as a manager in the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks from 1980 to 2012. He has also worked as the broker and owner of Montana Blue Ribbon Real Estate. Since 2010, he has operated a natural resources management consulting firm. Sweeney was an unsuccessful candidate for the Montana Public Service Commission in 2012 and won a seat in the Montana House of Representatives in 2018. Anaconda, county seat of Deer Lodge County, which has a consolidated city-county government, is located in southwestern Montana, United States. Located at the foot of the Anaconda Range (known locally as the "Pintlers"), the Continental Divide passes within south of the community. Deer Lodge County is a county in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 9,421. It forms a consolidated city-county government with its county seat of Anaconda. The county was established in 1865. History Deer Lodge was one of the original 9 Montana counties, as constituted with the establishment of Montana Territory in 1864.
