In the comic book series, Gen-Actives are superhuman beings who possess the Gen-Factor. Gen-Active, the comic Gen-Active featured several ongoing storylines, usually starring Gen-Active superheroes and villains in each issue. Many of the stories dealt with the former members of DV8. Though often converging, there were three main storylines, each with their own writer: * Writer Ben Raab with the help of various artists revealed what happened to Evo and Bliss after they left DV8. Wildcore
''Wildcore'' was an American comic book series created and co-written by writer Sean Ruffner and artist Brett Booth that debuted in 1997. Focusing on a team of superheroes of the same name, it was published by Wildstorm comics, then still a part of Image Comics, as a continuation of the series ''Backlash''. After the series was canceled, the team's final story was told in the pages of ''Gen-Active'', an anthology series. History The story of Wildcore starts in the pages of Backlash, where Marc Slayton (aka Backlash) and his girlfriend Amanda Reed (aka Taboo) work with the U.S. government's secret organization ''Department PSI''. Backlash (Marc Slayton)
Backlash is a fictional character from the Wildstorm universe who first appeared in '' StormWatch'' #3 in 1993 and was featured in his own comic book series, which ran from 1994 to 1997. His daughter Jodi also uses the name. Fictional character biography Marc Slayton was born in Atlantis about three thousand years ago, the son of a human mother and Lord S'ylton, an enhanced Kherubim lord of the alien colony Atlantis. When his father sacrifices his life to imprison one-time allies the D'rahn, a race of hostile aliens whose attack leads to the sinking of Atlantis, young Marc is spirited away by Ferrian, his father's former advisor. Ferrian raises the child to adulthood, tutoring him in fighting skills for his protection. Once Marc is old enough to look after himself, Ferrian drops out of sight and leaves him to fend for himself. Dustin Nguyen (artist)
Dustin Nguyen (born 1976) is a comic book artist. He has worked for DC Comics and WildStorm since 2000. He is currently the artist on his and Jeff Lemire's creator-owned Image Comics series, ''Descender'', for which he won the 2016 Eisner Award for Best Painter/Multimedia Artist. Career Nguyen has worked on such titles as '' Jet'' with Dan Abnett, '' Wildcats v3.0'' with Joe Casey, ''Batman'' with Judd Winick, '' Manifest Eternity'' with Scott Lobdell, and the latest revamp of '' The Authority'', ''The Authority: Revolution'', with Ed Brubaker. Deathblow is a fictional character in the . He first appears in ''Darker Image'' #1 (March 1993) and was created by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi. Fictional character biography Michael Cray was born to U.S. Navy Admiral Phillip James Cray and Elizabeth Cray. He has a brother named Alexander. Michael Cray's daughter is Rachel Goldman, a.k.a. Benjamin Raab (born October 13, 1970, in New York City, New York) is an American screenwriter, television producer, comic book writer and editor. Early life Raab is a native of Cedarhurst, New York, and attended Lawrence High School. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Composition. Career Raab made his Marvel debut as an interviewer for artist Gary Kwapisz in '' Marvel Age Special: The Punisher Anniversary Magazine''. Dan Abnett (born 12 October 1965) is an English comic book writer and novelist. He has been a frequent collaborator with fellow writer Andy Lanning, and is known for his work on books for both Marvel Comics, and their UK imprint, Marvel UK, since the 1990s, and also ''2000 AD (comics), 2000 AD''. He has also contributed to DC Comics titles, and his ''Warhammer Fantasy (setting), Warhammer Fantasy'' and ''Warhammer 40,000'' novels and graphic novels for Games Workshop's Black Library now run to several dozen titles and have sold over two million copies. Andy Lanning
Andy Lanning is an English comic book writer and inker, known for his work for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, and for his collaboration with Dan Abnett. Career Lanning works primarily at Marvel Comics and DC Comics as an inker. He has also pencilled books, such as his creation ''The Sleeze Brothers''. Lanning's writing has included his and Abnett's 2000 relaunch of DC's title ''Legion of Super-Heroes''. The two co-created the Resurrection Man character with artist Jackson Guice in 1997. Lanning and Abnett also collaborated on an ongoing ''Nova'' series for Marvel, which premiered in 2007. Midnighter is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books first published by WildStorm and later DC Comics once it absorbed the former. The character was created by writer Warren Ellis and artist Bryan Hitch.
