Gemeni (film)
''Gemeni'' is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Saran and produced by M. Saravanan on AVM Productions.It stars Venkatesh and Namitha and music composed by RP Patnaik. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Gemini'', released the same year. The film's title was spelt ''Gemeni'' to differentiate from the original Tamil version. Plot Gemeni and Ladda, are two contemporary gangsters in Vijayawada. Gemeni's friend is murdered by Ladda's friend. Then Gemeni and his gang search for the person who murdered his friend and kills him. This incident marks the start of their rivalry. Meanwhile, Gemeni meets Manisha Natwarlal and falls in love with her. To gain her affections, he goes to study in an evening college as her classmate, and eventually, she too falls in love with him. Saran (director)
K. V. Saravanan, better known as Saran, is an Indian film director active mainly in Tamil cinema. He was once an assistant to K. Balachander. He owns production house called ''Gemini Productions.'' Early life Saran's father T. Kulandaivelayudam worked with the directorate of examinations and many of his relatives are teachers. He finished diploma in visual communications from the College of Arts And Crafts and became an instructor in textile designing. Saran worked as instructor for a year and, during this time, he did some work with a lady called Mohana who was art director for K. Balachander. Murali (Malayalam Actor)
Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver in the 2002 film ''Neythukaran''. Surya Kumar Bhagvandas (born 1957) is an Indian actor in the Telugu film industry portraying characters in supporting roles. Lakshmipati () is an epithet of the Hindu deity Vishnu. It refers to his status of being the consort of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, as well as being associated with her attribute of prosperity. Sujatha (10 December 1952 – 6 April 2011) was an Indian actress who performed and staggered in a number of unique and variety of characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, ''Aval Oru Thodar Kathai'' (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. Whereas, her first Telugu picture happened to be a Telugu/Tamil bilingual titled as ''Guppedu Manasu'' (1979) in Telugu and was simultaneously shot as Nool Veli in Tamil of the same year.
