Geishöhe
Geishöhe ( German for goat height) is a 521 meter tall hill of Bavaria, Germany in the '' Mittelgebirge'' Spessart. Oberwinterbach, a hamlet which ist part of the municipality Dammbach, lies on the plateau at the top of the hill. It is the permanently inhabited location with the highest elevation in the Spessart. Dammbach
Dammbach is a community in the Aschaffenburg district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany, and a member of the ''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'' (municipal association) of Mespelbrunn, whose seat is in Heimbuchenthal. Geography Location The community lies in the centre of the Spessart (range), in the so-called High Spessart (''Hochspessart''). The namesake brook, the Dammbach, rises near Rohrbrunn and has many small tributaries. As for elevation extremes, the community's lowest point lies in the constituent community of Neuhammer at 200 m above sea level, and the highest on the Geishöhe at 525 m. Spessart
Spessart is a ''Mittelgebirge'', a range of low wooded mountains, in the States of Bavaria and Hesse in Germany. It is bordered by the Vogelsberg, Rhön and Odenwald. The highest elevation is the Geiersberg at 586 metres above sea level. Etymology The name is derived from "Spechtshardt". ''Specht'' is the German word for woodpecker and ''Hardt'' is an outdated word meaning "hilly forest". Odenwald
The Odenwald () is a low mountain range in the German states of Hesse, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Location The Odenwald is located between the Upper Rhine Plain with the Bergstraße and the ''Hessisches Ried'' (the northeastern section of the Rhine rift) to the west, the Main and the Bauland (a mostly unwooded area with good soils) to the east, the Hanau-Seligenstadt Basin – a subbasin of the Upper Rhine Rift Valley in the Rhine-Main Lowlands – to the north and the Kraichgau to the south. Taunus
The Taunus is a mountain range in Hesse, Germany, located north of Frankfurt. The tallest peak in the range is ''Großer Feldberg'' at 878 m; other notable peaks are ''Kleiner Feldberg'' (825 m) and ''Altkönig'' (798 m).
