Gefen LLC (formerly Gefen Inc. and Gefen Systems Inc.) is an American electronics hardware manufacturing company specializing in digital audio/video connectivity products. The company was founded by Hagai Gefen in 1998, and originally located in Woodland Hills, CA. Gefen manufactures a variety of audio/video switchers, splitters, extenders, scalers, and home theater accessories that are typically used for industrial and commercial applications, as well as consumer applications such as home theaters. In 2006 Gefen LLC. was purchased by Nortek Inc., and in 2015 was merged with another Nortek company, Core Brands LLC. Geffen Records is an American record label established by David Geffen and owned by Universal Music Group through its Interscope Geffen A&M Records imprint. Geffen Playhouse
The Geffen Playhouse (or the Geffen) is a not-for-profit theater company founded by Gilbert Cates in 1995. It produces plays in two theaters in Geffen Playhouse, which is owned by University of California Los Angeles. The Playhouse is located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was named for donor David Geffen. Geffen, Netherlands
Geffen had been an independent municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant until 1993, when it became a part of the newly formed municipality Maasdonk. This lasted until 2015, when Maasdonk was dissolved and Geffen became part of Oss. Archeological findings show that the area had been inhabited since the Stone Age (2000 B.C.).
