Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy
Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy is a Bangladeshi cricket team that plays List A cricket in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL), beginning with the 2023–24 season. In 2022–23 it won the Dhaka First Division Cricket League for first time, earning promotion for the 2023–24 DPL Season. Tahjibul Islam
Gazi Mohammad Tahjibul Islam (born 23 July 2004) is a Bangladeshi cricketer, who is a right-handed batter and a wicket-keeper. He started playing cricket at the age of 6, and later received training from the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan. In December 2021, Tahjibul was named in Bangladesh's squad for 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and 2022 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut for Shinepukur Cricket Club on 16 June 2021, against Gazi Group Cricketers in the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League. He made his List A debut on 30 March 2022, against Abahani Limited in the 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. In February 2024, he was signed by Durdanto Dhaka to play for them in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, also known as the Dhaka Premier League, is a club List A tournament in Bangladesh. History Since its inauguration in 1973–74 the league has been the premier club cricket competition in Bangladesh. It gained List A status starting with the 2013–14 tournament, thus superseding the National Cricket League One-Day as Bangladesh's main List A competition. In the years from 1973–74 to 2011–12, Abahani Limited won the championship 17 times. Other winners were Mohammedan Sporting Club nine times, Biman Bangladesh Airlines five times, Victoria Sporting Club four times, Old DOHS Sports Club twice and Brothers Union once. 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) is the tenth edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition in Bangladesh. It is being contested by 12 club teams. The tournament started on 11 March 2024. Player signings took place on 28 and 29 February 2024. CCDM has increased the individual prize money in this edition, with the Player of the Tournament, Highest Run-Scorer and Highest Wicket-Taker receiving ৳2.5 lakh each from ৳2 lakh last season. They also decided to pay ৳10,000 to ৳15,000 as Player of the Match award. Abahani Limited were the defending champions. Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy and Partex Sporting Club were promoted to this season from 2022–23 Dhaka First Division Cricket League, replacing Agrani Bank cricket team and Dhaka Leopards, who were relegated after the previous tournament. The Dhaka First Division Cricket League, is a club one-day cricket tournament in Bangladesh. It is the second division of the Bangladeshi 50 over cricket league system. Administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, it is contested by 20 teams, with the top two teams of super league promoted to the List A-level tournament Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League and replaced by the two lowest-placed teams in that division. Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club
Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club are a team that plays List A cricket in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL). They are named after Rupganj in eastern Dhaka, and sponsored by the Gazi Group of companies, which also sponsors the DPL teams Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy and Gazi Group Cricketers. Rupganj Tigers were promoted to List A status for the first time for the 2021–22 tournament, along with City Club.
