The 22410 / 22409 Gaya–Anand Vihar Terminal Garib Rath Express is a Superfast Express train of the Garib Rath series belonging to Indian Railways – Northern Railway zone that runs between and in India. It operates as train number 22410 from Anand Vihar Terminal to Gaya and as train number 22409 in the reverse direction, serving the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Initially the train ran from Anand Vihar Terminal to later it extended to Gaya Junction. It is part of the Garib Rath Express series launched by the former railway minister of India, Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav. Garib Rath Express
The Garib Rath ("Poor's chariot") is a No frills, no-frills air-conditioned train started by the Indian Railways in 2005 to provide subsidized price air-conditioned long-distance travel to passengers who could not afford standard fares of air-conditioned class in regular-fare trains. As the fares are less than two-thirds of the fares for air-conditioned classes in other trains, the distance between each seat or berth is less, the seats and berths are narrower and each coach has more seats and berths than in air-conditioned coaches in other trains. Only seating and three-tier (78 seats) accommodation is provided in these trains. The passengers are not provided with free bedding or food. It is significantly faster and has higher priority than Superfast Express trains in India, Superfast Express trains. The Indian locomotive class WAP-5 is the name of a class of "High Speed" electric locomotives produced and used by Indian Railways. Lalu Prasad Yadav (born 11 June 1948) is an Indian politician and president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He is a former Chief Minister of Bihar (1990-1997), a former Railway Minister of India (2004-2009), and a former Member of Parliament (MP) of the Lok Sabha.
