Gavin Rothery (footballer)
Gavin Marc Rothery (born 22 September 1987) is an English footballer who played as a midfielder for Pontefract Collieries as well as being a youth team coach at Leeds United. He is a former England U19 international. Playing career Early career Born in Morley, West Yorkshire, Rothery progressed through the Leeds United youth system and was first involved in the first team after being an unused substitute against Rotherham United on 8 May 2005. He was named in the England under-19 team in February 2006 along with Theo Walcott. He agreed a new one-year contract with Leeds in August 2007. Rothery was rated as one of the best prospects at the academy but suffered a major ankle injury which required ankle reconstruction surgery which ultimately became a major setback for his development. Loan (association Football)
In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons. Most commonly, young prospects will be loaned to a club in a lower league in order to gain invaluable first team experience. In this instance, the parent club may continue to pay the player's wages in full or in part. Some clubs put a formal arrangement in place with a feeder club for this purpose, such as Manchester United and Royal Antwerp, Arsenal and Beveren, or Chelsea and Vitesse. Huddersfield Town A
Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The town is in the foothills of the Pennines. The River Holme's confluence into the similar-sized Colne to the south of the town centre which then flows into the Calder in the north eastern outskirts of the town. Martin John Foyle (born 2 May 1963) is an English former professional footballer and manager who is the Head of Recruitment at club St Mirren. In his 20-year playing career he played 533 League games, scoring 155 goals. As a manager, he took charge of Port Vale and York City, Northwich Victoria, Hereford United and Southport. He started his career with Southampton as a trainee and after spending four years at the club, during which he was loaned out on two occasions, he joined Aldershot for a £10,000 fee in August 1984.
