Gavin Nebbeling
Gavin Mark Nebbeling (born 15 May 1963) is a South African former professional association football, footballer who was active exclusively in England between 1981 and 1998. Nebbeling, who played as a Defender (association football), central defender, made over 250 appearances in the Football League and over 300 senior professional appearances throughout his entire career. Career Born in Johannesburg, Nebbeling played youth football in his native South Africa with Arcadia Shepherds F.C., Arcadia Shepherds before beginning his professional career in August 1981 with the Football League, English League side Crystal Palace F.C., Crystal Palace. While at Palace Nebbeling spent a loan spell with Northampton Town F.C., Northampton Town, before signing permanently with Fulham F.C., Fulham in 1989. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League or below that level. Kingstonian Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, southwest London which currently plays in the Isthmian League Premier Division. The club was founded in 1885 by YMCA, named Kingston & Surbiton YMCA, and began competing properly in 1893 in the Surrey Junior Cup.
