Pablo Martín Páez Gavira (; born 5 August 2004), known as Gavi (), is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Barcelona and the Spain national team. In 2022, he won the Golden Boy award and received the Kopa Trophy, awarded by France Football during the 2022 Ballon d'Or ceremony. Club career Early life and career Gavi was born in Los Palacios y Villafranca, Andalusia. He started his career at La Liara Balompié, a club in his hometown, where he spent two years, between 2010 and 2012. From there he moved on to Real Betis's youth academy, where he spent two seasons. He scored 95 goals for the youth team of Real Betis. Barcelona Youth career In 2015, at the age of 11, he signed for Barcelona. Golden Boy (award)
The Golden Boy is an award that is given by sports journalists to a young footballer playing in Europe perceived to have been the most impressive during a calendar year (two halves to two separate seasons). All nominees must be under the age of 21 and play in a European nation's top tier. The 2022 edition was won by Barcelona's Gavi. Apart from the main award, an additional one, Golden Boy Web, is decided by online users. Selection The prize was established by Italian sports newspaper ''Tuttosport'' in 2003. Girona Futbol Club, S.A.D. is a professional football club based in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. Nicolás González Iglesias (born 3 January 2002), sometimes known as just Nico, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Primeira Liga club Porto.
