Marguerite-Élie Guadet (, 20 July 1758 – 19 June 1794) was a French political figure of the French Revolution, Revolutionary period. Rise to prominence Born in Saint-Émilion, Gironde, Aquitaine, he had already gained a reputation as a lawyer in Bordeaux by the time of the Revolution. In 1790 he was made administrator of the Gironde, and in 1791 president of the criminal tribunal, being elected to the Legislative Assembly (France), Legislative Assembly as one of the group of deputies known subsequently as Girondists. Château Guadet is a winery in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France. It took its current name in 2005. It was known as Château Guadet Saint-Julien from 1844 to 2004. The winery is a Grand cru classé in the Classification of Saint-Émilion wine. History The small vineyard situated on the limestone plateau of Saint Emilion at 50 metres of the north door of the ''plateau calcaire''. The name came from the Lacombe Guadet family who sold the estate in 1877 to Mathieu Garitey, ancestor of Guy-Petrus Lignac, manager of the estate today. Wayne Jean Gaudet (born August 12, 1955) is a Canadian politician. He represented the electoral district of Clare in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1993 to 2013. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. Early life Born in Concession, Nova Scotia, he graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts at the Université Sainte-Anne and then received a Bachelor of Education at Saint Mary's University. Suzanne Birt (born Suzanne Gaudet on October 2, 1981 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors Birt, a skip, is a two-time Canadian Junior Champion (2001, 2002) and a former World Junior Curling Champion (2001). She also won a silver medal at the 1995 Canada Games. Birt had attended the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Canadian Juniors before finally winning it. Roger Gaudet (born May 26, 1945) is a Canadian politician and former restaurant owner. Gaudet served as a councillor in Saint-Liguori from 1985 to 1989. In 1989 he was elected mayor of Saint-Liguoiri, and then in 1993 he became reeve of the Montcalm MRC. In 2002 he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in a by-election for the ''Bloc Québécois'' in the riding Berthier—Montcalm. Kevin Gaudet
Kevin Gaudet (born October 22, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, now working as a coach. He is currently serving as head coach of the Hannover Scorpions. Playing career Gaudet attended the Université de Moncton and helped "Les Aigles Bleus" win back-to-back Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union Men's Ice Hockey championships in 1981 and 1982. The championship-winning teams were inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. He spent some time with the Moncton Hawks of the American Hockey League and was trying out with NHL sides Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota North Stars, before making the move to France, where he played for HC Val Vanoise between 1985 and 1991. Joseph Gaudet (May 10, 1818 – August 4, 1882) was a Quebec farmer and political figure. He represented Nicolet in the House of Commons of Canada as a Conservative Party of Canada member from 1867 to 1877. He represented Nicolet in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1867 to 1871, and He was born Joseph Godet in Gentilly, Lower Canada in 1818 and became a farmer in that region. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada for Nicolet in 1858; he was reelected in 1861 and 1863 as a member of the parti bleu.
