Gaudencio Antonino
Gaudencio Embuscado Antonino (9 February 1909 - 13 November 1967) was a Filipino politician who served as a member of the Philippine Senate from 1961 until his death in a helicopter crash in 1967 Early life and career Gaudencio E. Antonino was born in Jaen, Nueva Ecija. He obtained his civil engineering degree at the University of the Philippines and placed 7th in the licensure examinations. He then worked as an assistant engineer in the bureau of Public Works from 1933 to 1936. During the Second World War, he served in the USAFFE and later in the guerrilla movement as a 2nd lieutenant in the 101st Engineer Battalion and a first lieutenant in the Western Luzon sector in 1945. After the war, Antonino worked as a business executive, specializing in the lumber industry. Jaen, Nueva Ecija
Jaen, officially the Municipality of Jaen ( tl, Bayan ng Jaen), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 79,189 people. History During the Spanish Era, the municipality was only a component ''barrio'' of Gapan. When San Isidro became a town and was separated from Gapan, the town and San Antonio became one of its component barrios. This marked the beginning of a 14-year period of one-man rule that would effectively last until Marcos was exiled from the country on February 25, 1986. The 1967 election for the members of the Philippine Senate were also known as the 1967 midterm election, as the date where the elected candidates take office falls halfway through President Ferdinand Marcos' four-year term.
