Arturo Gatti
Arturo Gatti (April 15, 1972 – July 11, 2009) was an Italian-Canadian professional boxer who competed from 1991 to 2007. A world champion in two weight classes, Gatti held the IBF junior lightweight title from 1995 to 1998, and the WBC super lightweight title from 2004 to 2005. He also participated in '' The Ring'' magazine's Fight of the Year a total of four times (1997, 1998, 2002, and 2003). He announced his retirement on July 14, 2007. After his death in 2009, Gatti was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on December 10, 2012, in his first year of eligibility, becoming the tenth Canadian boxer to be so inducted. Emilio Gatti (18 March 1922 – 9 July 2016) was an Italian engineer. He was a professor of nuclear electronics at the Politecnico of Milan. He is currently chief conductor of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, artistic advisor of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and music director of the Orchestra Mozart. Biography Gatti was born in Milan. He was the music director of the Orchestra Dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome from 1992 to 1997. In 1997, he became the music director of the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Carlo Gatti (1817–1878) was a Swiss entrepreneur in the Victorian era. He came to England in 1847, where he established restaurants and an ice importing business. He is credited with first making ice cream available to the general public and he then moved into the music hall business. Giulio Gatti-Casazza (3 February 1869 – 2 September 1940) was an Italian opera manager. He was general manager of La Scala in Milan, Italy, from 1898 to 1908 and later the Metropolitan Opera in New York City from 1908 to 1935. Biography Gatti-Casazza was born on 3 February 1869 in Udine, in northeastern Italy. In 1893 he succeeded his father as manager of the municipal theatre in Ferrara. Bruno Gatti (28 August 1941 – 7 March 2012) was a Swiss footballer who played in the 1960s for Black Stars Basel, FC Basel and then FC Biel-Bienne. He played as a forward. Football career In December 1962 Gatti transferred from the Black Stars Basel to FC Basel. Gatti wrote himself a special Swiss Cup story in this 1962/63 season. Before the winter break, he played with the Black Stars in the Cup against FC Basel and his club was knocked out of the competition. Then gatti switched to FCB - and eventually became Cup winner with his new club. He played his debut for his new team on 30 December 1962 in the Cup as Basel won against SC Burgdorf 7–1.
