Gatoch Panom Yiech ( am, ጋቶች ፓኖም; born 30 November 1994) is an Ethiopian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ethiopian Premier League club Saint George and the Ethiopia national team. Club career Ethiopian Coffee The Addis Ababa-based club Ethiopian Coffee was Panom's first professional club when he made his debut for them in 2012. After making many appearances and becoming a regular starter, his form with the club earned him his first call up to the Ethiopia national team in 2014. In June 2017, Panom become the first Ethiopian player to complete a transfer directly from an Ethiopian club to a Russian club when he made his move to FC Anzhi Makhachkala. Gambela, Ethiopia
Gambela ( am, ጋምቤላ), also spelled Gambella, is a city and separate woreda in Ethiopia and the capital of the Gambela Region. It was known as Paanywaa( Anyuak Country) Located in Anyuak Zone, at the confluence of the Openo River and its tributary the Jajjabe, the city has a latitude and longitude of and an elevation of 526 meters. It is surrounded by Gambela Zuria. Gambela is important because bridges over both the Baro and the Jajjaba are located in that city. 2014 African Nations Championship
The 2014 African Nations Championship was the third African Nations Championship association football, football tournament. The 16 national teams featured players from the respective national championships. The tournament took place between 11 January and 1 February 2014 in South Africa. Originally, the tournament was to be hosted in Libya. This was the first African Nations Championship tournament where all matches were considered full international matches. Hosts South Africa were knocked out in the group stages, which has been attributed to the national league not pausing during the tournament. Many clubs would not release their players. Sewnet Bishaw ( am, ሰውነት ቢሻው; born 1 January 1952) is an Ethiopian football manager. He achieved regional success with the Ethiopia national football team in 2005 when he won the CECAFA Cup during his first spell as manager. In October 2011 Sewnet was re-appointed to the position after the resignation of Belgian coach, Tom Saintfiet.
