Gathering Of Freaks
''Gathering of Freaks'' is the second album from the Heavy Metal band Freak of Nature, fronted by former White Lion lead singer Mike Tramp, released in 1994. Overview The album spent one week at #66 on the UK Albums Chart in October 1994. It was the band's only UK chart presence. The album was recorded in Canoga Park, California, and North Hollywood, California with producer Phil Kaffel. All songs were written by the band with lyrics provided by Mike Tramp. Following the release of the album guitarist Kenny Korade was replaced by Marcus Nand and the band undertook another tour in support of the album. 2011 The promo single "Enemy" featured a music video. Freak Of Nature (band)
Freak of Nature was an American hard rock band, formed in 1992 by former White Lion lead singer Mike Tramp. The band was formed after White Lion broke up and the follow up was significantly darker and harder than White Lion. The band released three albums and then disbanded in 1996. Following Freak of Nature, Mike Tramp released several solo albums and also reformed White Lion with a new line up. Band history Formation In September 1991, just days after White Lion played their last gig, Mike Tramp met up with long-time friend Oliver Steffensen who was an original member of the pre White Lion band "Danish Lions". The pair spent weeks in Tramp's house in Santa Monica, California, resulting in several songs which were later released under the moniker "Mike and Oliver". Marcus Nand
Marcus Nand (born Merseyside, England) is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and sound engineer best known for his work with flamenco guitar. After learning rock, blues, and flamenco in Spain in his youth, he has been based in Los Angeles since the 1990s. A past guitarist for Los Angeles metal band Freak of Nature, he later formed the world music and rock band Ziroq with bassist Carmine Rojas. Ziroq's debut album was named "Best Mix: Non-Orchestral" at the 2002 Surround Music Awards. Nand also works on various solo projects. As a session guitarist, he has contributed to albums such as ''Situation Dangerous'' by Bozzio Levin Stevens, ''Essential Ballads'' by Jeff Scott Soto, and various compilations.
