Gateway Stadium (Ijebu Ode)
Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, formerly the Gateway Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground for FC Ebedei. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. It was renovated for the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The stadium was renamed in 2011 after Otunba Dipo Dina, an assassinated political candidate. Ijebu-Ode is a town in Ogun State, Nigeria, South Western geopolitical zone in Nigeria, close to the A121 highway (Nigeria), A121 highway. FC Ebedei
FC Ebedei is a Nigerian football club based in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State after moving from Lagos in 2001. They currently play in Nigeria Nationwide League, the third tier of Nigerian football. FC Ebedei is also serving as the African football academy of FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga championship. Several players from the club have gone on to play in Denmark. The 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the thirteenth tournament of the FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Nigeria from 24 October to 15 November 2009. Otunba Dipo Dina
Otunba Dipo Dina (July 15, 1960 - January 25, 2010) was a Nigerian politician, philanthropist, administrator, community leader and chartered accountant from Ogun State. Early life and career Adedipupo Akanni Dina was born on July 15, 1960, into the Dipo Alapo Ekun family of Iyanro, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. He had his secondary education at the Baptist Academy, Lagos, before going on to the University of Lagos where he got his first degree in Accounting and later M.Sc. in finance. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and subsequently founded and until his death was Senior Partner at Dele Dina & Co. (an accounting firm). The 1998 African Women's Championship was the 3rd edition of the international women's association football tournament organized by CAF. Since this edition, the tournament has been organized biennially and was hosted by a country unlike the previous two editions.
