Gateway High School (GHS) serves the residents of Monroeville and Pitcairn, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Gateway School District and serves grades 9 through 12. History Gateway High School was built in 1958 and dedicated on November 15, 1959. Athletics Gateway High School is a member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL), District 7. The mascot of the school district is the Gateway Gator, a stylized alligator. The Gateway School District is a large, suburban, public school district located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. It also serves residents of Pitcairn. Paul Graham (; born 1964) is an English-born American computer scientist, essayist, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author. He is best known for his work on the programming language Lisp, his former startup Viaweb (later renamed ''Yahoo! Jaquan Monte Brisker (born April 20, 1999) is an American football safety for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Lackawanna College and Penn State prior to being selected by the Bears 48th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. Montae Nicholson (born December 4, 1995) is an American football free safety for the DC Defenders of the XFL. He played college football at Michigan State and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Donald Roy King (born October 9, 1947) is an American television director, and also a producer, writer, and actor. He served as the director for ''Saturday Night Live'' from 2006 until 2021. Darienne Driver Hudson (born 1978) is an American education official and nonprofit executive. She joined United Way for Southeastern Michigan as president and CEO in July 2018. Before joining United Way, Driver Hudson spent the previous four years as superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools, one of the largest school districts in the United States and the largest school district in Wisconsin.
