Francesco Gasparini
Francesco Gasparini (19 March 1661 – 22 March 1727) was an Italian Baroque composer and teacher whose works were performed throughout Italy, and also on occasion in Germany and England. Biography Born in Camaiore, near Lucca, he studied in Rome with Corelli and Pasquini. His first important opera, ''Roderico'' (1694), was produced there. In 1702 he went to Venice and became one of the leading composers in the city. In 1720 he returned to Rome for his last important work, ''Tigrane'' (1724). He wrote the first opera using the story of Hamlet ('' Ambleto'', 1705) though this was not based on Shakespeare's play. Gasparini was also a teacher, the instructor of Marcello, Quantz and Domenico Scarlatti. He was musical director of the Ospedale della Pietà, where he employed Antonio Vivaldi as a violin master. Gaspare Gasparini (died 30 September 1590) was a native of Macerata. He was a disciple of Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta, whose style he followed, though in a less finished manner; as appears in his two pictures in the church of San Venanzio at Fabriano, representing ''The Baptism of Christ'' and ''The Last Supper.'' Graziano Gasparini
Graziano Gasparini (31 July 1924 – 30 November 2019) was a Venezuelan architect, photographer, painter and historian, sometimes referred to as Graciano Gasparini (ie using a Spanish version of his first name). Gasparini was born in Gorizia, on the Italian–Slovenian border, in 1924. After completing his education in Venice, he worked for Carlo Scarpa in connection with the Biennale. After a break caused by the Second World War, the famous exhibition resumed in 1948, and Gasparini first visited Venezuela that year while promoting it. He settled in Caracas and pursued a career as an architect. He specialised in restoring Spanish Colonial architecture, while developing a parallel career as an architectural historian. The buildings he worked on include the Bolivarian Museum in Caracas, which was inaugurated in 1960. Quirino Gasparini
Quirino Gasparini (24 October 1721 – 26 September 1778) was an Italian composer, born in Gandino, near Bergamo, Italy. He studied for the priesthood, but largely devoted his life to music, becoming ''maestro de capello'' at Turin's cathedral. His compositions are mainly of church music, including a Stabat Mater which is still performed occasionally. He also wrote several operas, including a 1767 setting of Vittorio Amadeo Cigna-Santi's libretto ''Mitridate, re di Ponto'', which three years later was set by the 14-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for the 1770 Milan carnival. One of Gasparini's arias, preferred by the tenor singer over Mozart's version of it, was sung at the Milan performance and is still included in modern publications of the opera's score. Zulma Nélida Brandoni de Gasparini (born 15 May 1944) is an Argentinian paleontologist and zoologist. She is known for discovering the fossils of the dinosaur ''Gasparinisaura'', which was named after her. Work Born in the city of La Plata, Argentina on 15 May 1944, Brandoni de Gasparini graduated in zoology from the National University of La Plata in 1966 and obtained her PhD in Natural Sciences in 1973. Foucher-Gasparini
Foucher-Gasparini was a builder of barrel organs. It was based in Paris, France and existed from 1865 to 1928. Gasparini travelled from Italy to learn organ building, forming a partnership with Frenchman Foucher in Paris from 1865. The organs were noted for their soft tones, with their trademarks being the rounded shape of the front piece, with many curls and other decorations. The company exported many organs to the Netherlands, and 52-key Gasparini organs are common in France.
