Gary Shail
Gary Shail (born 10 November 1959) is an English actor, director, producer and musician. Career Gary Shail began work in TV and film in 1977 and is best known for his roles as Spider in the 1979 film ''Quadrophenia'' and as Steve, the punky teenager in '' The Metal Mickey TV Show''. Shail appeared in the 1980 series ''The Further Adventures of Oliver Twist'', portrayed Oscar Drill in ''Shock Treatment'', the 1981 follow-up to ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'', and portrayed Guy Raines in the 1983 BBC production '' Johnny Jarvis''. He wrote the original songs and theme music for this production, for which he received a nomination for the Ivor Novello Awards. In 1988 Shail appeared as the pimp "Billy White" in the TV mini-series of ''Jack the Ripper'', starring Michael Caine. He has made appearances in the TV series ''The Bill'', ''Casualty'', and '' The Professionals''. Quadrophenia (film)
''Quadrophenia'' is a 1979 British Drama (modern genre), drama film, loosely based on The Who's 1973 rock opera of the Quadrophenia, same name. It was directed by Franc Roddam in his List of directorial debuts, feature directing début. Unlike the Tommy (1975 film), adaptation of ''Tommy (The Who album), Tommy'', ''Quadrophenia'' is not a musical film, and the band does not appear live in the film. The film is set in London in 1964, a time when the working class youth broadly aligned themselves with one of two factions, who frequently fought each other. Hazel O'Connor
Hazel Thereasa O'Connor (born 16 May 1954) is a British singer-songwriter and actress. She became famous in the early 1980s with hit singles " Eighth Day", " D-Days" and " Will You?" She also starred in the 1980 film '' Breaking Glass''. Career O'Connor was born in Coventry, England. She is the daughter of a soldier from Galway who settled in England after the Second World War to work in a car plant. Her brother Neil later fronted the punk band The Flys, best known for their single "Love and a Molotov Cocktail", which she later covered. ''Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'' is an 1886 novella written by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. It is about a London lawyer, Gabriel John Utterson, who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr. Henry Jekyll and the misanthropic Mr. Hyde. In a twist ending, it is revealed that Jekyll and Hyde were the same person, and that Jekyll had regularly transformed himself into Hyde by drinking a serum. The work is known for its vivid portrayal of a split personality, and since the 1880s dozens of stage and film adaptations have been produced, although there have been no major adaptations to date that remain faithful to the narrative structure of Stevenson's original.
