Gary Proud (born July 30, 1943) is an American politician who served in the New York State Assembly from the 131st district from 1977 to 1990. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, his tattoos were featured in the RIT Reporter. The New York State Assembly is the lower house of the New York State Legislature, with the New York State Senate being the upper house. There are 150 seats in the Assembly.
