Peter Gareth Pearce (born 11 November 1960) is a Welsh director of rugby at Hull RUFC (2000–2005), and dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Laugharne RFC, Bridgend RFC and Llanelli RFC, as a fly-half. i.e. number 10, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Hull FC, Scarborough Pirates and Ryedale-York, as a , or , i.e. number 6, or 9, during the era of contested scrums. Gary Stephen Pearce (born Dinton, 2 March 1956) is a former English rugby union player. He played as a prop. He played for Northampton Saints. Pearce had 36 caps for England, from 1979 to 1991, without ever scoring. His first game was a 7–7 draw with Scotland, at 3 February 1979, in Twickenham, for the 1979 Five Nations Championship, aged 22 years old. He was called for the 1987 Rugby World Cup, playing three games. After a three-year absence, he was called once more for the 1991 Rugby World Cup. His only game would be his last cap, the 37–9 win over United States, at 11 October 1991, in Twickenham. He was then 35 years old. Gary Malcolm Pearce (born 27 February 1944) is an Australian former rower. He was a national champion and a three-time Olympian who competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics, the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics. Gary's father Cecil Pearce had sculled for Australia at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, and his great-grandfather Henry John "Harry" Pearce, Sr. was an Australian champion in sculling. Gary L. Pierce (born c. 1952) is a former Arizona Corporation Commissioner and a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives. Political career In the House of Representatives, Mr. Pierce served as the Majority Whip (2005–2006). He was a member of the Rules, Environment, and Federal Mandates and Property Rights committees. He had previously served on the Judiciary Committee and others. Prior to his election to the Legislature he was twice elected to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors. Gary Pierce (footballer)
Gary Pierce (born 2 March 1951) is an English former professional football goalkeeper. Pierce began his football career in 1970 at non-league Mossley, before being quickly snapped up by First Division Huddersfield Town for £2,250, where he featured for two seasons. In 1973, he joined top flight Wolverhampton Wanderers for £45,000. Here, he was largely second choice to Phil Parkes, but after Parkes suffered injury, he played in the 1974 League Cup Final. Pierce made a series of outstanding saves in the game, helping Wolves defeat Manchester City 2–1 at Wembley. Pierce was an ever-present in the 1976–77 season as Wolves won the Second Division at the first attempt, but the club bought Paul Bradshaw upon their return, relegating Pierce to reserve status again. He left Molineux in 1979 for Third Division Barnsley, where he played three seasons, before ending his league career with a season at Blackpool. Gareth Peirce (born Jean Margaret Webb; March 1940) is a British solicitor and human rights activist. She has worked on a number of high-profile cases involving allegations of human rights injustices. Her work with Gerry Conlon and the Guildford Four – wrongly convicted of bombings carried out by the Provisional Irish Republican Army – was chronicled in the film ''In the Name of the Father'' (1993), in which she was portrayed by Emma Thompson.
