Gary Null
Gary Michael Null (born January 6, 1945) is an American Radio personality, talk radio host and author who advocates pseudoscientific alternative medicine and produces a line of questionable dietary supplements. Null is hostile to evidence-based medicine and has accused the medical community of being in Big Pharma conspiracy theory, a cabal with the pharmaceutical industry to suppress novel treatments for economic gains. He has promoted a range of pseudoscience, pseudo-scientific and ineffective alternative treatments, including ones for cancer. He is a HIV/AIDS denialism, HIV/AIDS denialist who believes nutritional deficiencies are the causative agents of ''all'' illnesses, and has accordingly promoted fringe, diet-based treatment regimes for curing AIDS and other illnesses. Parkersburg
Parkersburg is a city in and the county seat of Wood County, West Virginia. Located at the confluence of the Ohio and Little Kanawha rivers, it is the state's fourth-largest city and the largest city in the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna metropolitan area. Intermittent fasting is any of various meal timing schedules that cycle between voluntary fasting (or reduced calorie intake) and non-fasting over a given period. Krebiozen
Krebiozen (aka Carcalon, creatine, substance X, or drug X) is a disproven cancer treatment that is made available as an alternative cancer treatment. While the substance has been marketed as a cure for cancer, originally sold for thousands of dollars per dose in the 1950s and early '60s, Krebiozen is not known to possess any therapeutic value. Attempts to analyze its composition have shown that Krebiozen consists only of the amino acid creatine dissolved in mineral oil, and some samples sold as Krebiozen consist solely of mineral oil with no other discernible ingredients. The Burzynski Clinic is a controversial clinic offering an unproven cancer treatment. It was founded in 1976 and is located in Texas, United States. Revici's Guided Chemotherapy
Revici's Guided Chemotherapy is an ineffective cancer treatment devised by Emanuel Revici (1896–1997). Revici's early work on experimental chemical-based treatments for cancer between 1920–1941 attracted a degree of support. However his work increasingly found disfavor with the scientific and medical communities and his license was revoked in 1993. Revici's Guided Chemotherapy is based on the idea that all illness is caused by an "imbalance" of metabolism. The treatment is to give a mixture of chemical substances (usually including lipid alcohol and various metals) by mouth or injection. A Clinical Appraisal Group was organized in January 1963 to evaluate Revici's cancer treatment. The group concluded that the treatment has no value. Gerson Therapy
Max Gerson (October 18, 1881 – March 8, 1959) was a German-born American physician who developed the Gerson Therapy, a dietary-based alternative cancer treatment that he claimed could cure cancer and most chronic, degenerative diseases. Gerson described his approach in the book ''A Cancer Therapy: Results of 50 Cases'' (1958). The National Cancer Institute evaluated Gerson's claims and concluded that his data showed no benefit from his treatment. The therapy is both ineffective and dangerous.
