Gary Dickson Gray (December 18, 1936 – April 4, 2006) was an American child actor in films, and as an adult in television. Biography Born in Los Angeles, California, Gray was the son of Jeanie Ellen Dickson and John William Gray, aka Bill Gray, a film business manager. On January 28, 1961 he married Jean Charlene Bean. The couple had four daughters and 19 grandchildren. Acting career It was two clients of his father's, Bert Wheeler and Jack Benny, who suggested that Gray should be used in films. Gray made his film debut in the Joan Crawford film ''A Woman's Face'' in 1941, and played minor roles in such popular films as '' Heaven Can Wait'' (1943), ''Gaslight'' (1944) and ''Meet Me in St. Louis'' (1944). In the 1944 short feature ''I Am an American'' he played Thomas Jefferson Kanowski, son of fictional Polish immigrant Fydor Kanowski. Gary George Gray (born September 21, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman who played parts of six seasons from until . During that time, he played for the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, and Seattle Mariners. Career Gray played college baseball at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and was selected by the Rangers in the 18th round of the 1974 Major League Baseball Draft. He spent 1974 with the Rangers' rookie squad, then played for the Anderson Rangers in 1975. With Anderson, Gray had a .302 batting average, 18 home runs, and 95 runs batted in in 135 games. In 1976, he played for the San Antonio Brewers, and had a .305 batting average, 19 home runs, and 109 runs batted in over 124 games. Gray spent the next three seasons primarily with the Tucson Toros, the Rangers' AAA affiliate, but saw bits of playing time with the major league Rangers. Gary Michael Gray (born February 23, 1945) is an American former basketball player who played as a guard in the NBA. Early years Gary Gray was born in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Gray is Native American, of the Delaware Nation. Following graduation from Fort Cobb High School in 1963, he attended Oklahoma City University, where he led them to the All-College Tournament championship in 1966. His OCU Chiefs made the 1966 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Gray was named an Academic All American for 1966–1967 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Professional basketball career Gray was drafted in the third round of the 1967 NBA draft by the Cincinnati Royals. He was also selected in the 1967 American Basketball Association Draft by the Dallas Chaparrals. He spent the 1967–68 season with the Royals, averaging 2.4 points per game in limited playing time. Gary Gray (born 30 April 1958), former Australian politician and Australia's Ambassador to Ireland, was the Australian Labor Party (ALP) representative for the Division of Brand in Western Australia in the Australian House of Representatives from 2007 to 2016. On 25 March 2013, Gray was appointed to the Australian Cabinet as the Minister for Resources and Energy, the Minister for Tourism and the Minister for Small Business. From 2010 until 2013, Gray served as the Special Minister of State for the Public Service and Integrity. Before entering Parliament in 2007 Gray spent 16 years as an official of the Australian Labor Party, rising to national secretary (1993-2000).
