Garth Everett
Garth David Everett (January 28, 1954 – January 28, 2023) was an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 84th district from 2007 to 2020. Early life and education Everett attended Pennsylvania State University on an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps and graduated in 1976 with a degree in business management. Everett earned a Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law in 2000. Career Everett served as a navigator on KC-135 refueling aircraft in the United States Air Force over 20 years before retiring in 1997 as a lieutenant colonel. After graduating from law school, he joined a law firm in Muncy Township working as a solicitor for several municipalities in Lycoming County. Death Everett died in Williamsport, Pennsylvania Williamsport is a city in, and the county seat of, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is an American military aerial refueling aircraft that was developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype, alongside the Boeing 707 airliner. It is the predominant variant of the C-135 Stratolifter family of transport aircraft. The KC-135 was the United States Air Force's first jet-powered refueling tanker and replaced the KC-97 Stratofreighter. The KC-135 was initially tasked with refueling strategic bombers, but it was used extensively in the Vietnam War and later conflicts such as Operation Desert Storm to extend the range and endurance of US tactical fighters and bombers. The KC-135 entered service with the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1957; it is one of nine military fixed-wing aircraft with over 60 years of continuous service with its original operator.
