Garry Peters (gridiron Football)
Garry Peters (born November 26, 1991) is an American professional gridiron football defensive back for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Peters attended Clemson University from 2011 to 2014, where he played college football for the Tigers. He played in 45 games, including 17 starts, where he had 106 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Professional career Carolina Panthers Peters was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015, by the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL) after going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. The 2015 NFL Draft was the 80th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. It took place in Chicago at the Auditorium Theatre and in Grant Park, from April 30 to May 2. The previous fifty NFL drafts (since 1965) had been held in New York City. The 2022 BC Lions season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 68th overall. The Lions improved upon their record from 2021, with their sixth win in their seventh game. The team then qualified for the playoffs following losses by both the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Ottawa Redblacks, in week 16, on September 24, 2022.
