Garry Pagel
Garry Louis Pagel (born 17 September 1966), is a former South African rugby union player who played for South Africa between 1995 and 1996. After retiring from a professional career in rugby, Pagel returned to farming. He resides in the Eastern Cape. Career Provincial and club Pagel represented Schools at the annual Craven Week tournament in 1984 and made his senior provincial debut for in 1988. From 1992 he played for and was a member of the 1997 Currie Cup winning squad, although he did not play in the final. In 1997, Pagel moved to England and played for the English side Northampton Saints between 1997 and 2001. He made 77 appearances, scoring 50 points from 10 tries, and played in the side that won the Heineken Cup in 2000. King William's Town
Qonce, formerly known as King William's Town, is a city in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa along the banks of the Buffalo River. The city is about northwest of the Indian Ocean port of East London. Qonce, with a population of around 35,000 inhabitants, forms part of the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. Qonce lies above sea level at the foot of the Amathole Mountains in an area known for its agriculture. The city has one of the oldest post offices in the country developed by missionaries led by Charles Brownlee. 1995 Rugby World Cup Final
The 1995 Rugby World Cup Final was the final match of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, played in South Africa. The match was played at Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg on 24 June 1995 between the host nation, South Africa, and New Zealand. South Africa won the match by three points in their first Rugby World Cup Final, which was also the first to require extra time. Unusually, the points were scored by only one player from each team, with Andrew Mehrtens of New Zealand scoring all 12 of the 'All Blacks' points, (three penalties and one drop goal) and Joel Stransky tallying all 15 points (three penalties and two drop goals) for the Springboks, including a drop goal in extra time, which sealed the victory and their first ever Rugby World Cup title.
