Garrett McLaughlin
Garrett McLaughlin (born November 10, 1997) is an American soccer player who currently plays for USL League One side North Carolina FC. Career Youth and college McLaughlin played high school soccer at Heritage Hall, where he was a two-time Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year and led the school to 3 state championships. McLaughlin played four years of college soccer at Southern Methodist University between 2016 and 2019. McLaughlin made 72 appearances, scored 36 goals and tallied 13 assists for the Mustangs. He was named the 2016 American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, first team All-AAC in 2017 and 2019, second team All-AAC in 2018, and United Soccer Coaches third team All-American in 2017. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. Richmond Kickers is an American professional soccer club based in Richmond, Virginia. The Kickers compete as a member of USL League One (USL-1). The club was established in 1993, and began play that same year as a United States Interregional Soccer League (now USL League Two) expansion team, which at the time, was the fourth tier of soccer in the United States. 2022 USL League One Season
The 2022 USL League One season was the fourth season of USL League One. The regular season began on April 2 and ended on October 15. The playoffs are scheduled to begin as early as October 22 and end no later than November 6. Eleven teams will participate in the 2022 season. Four reserve teams operated by clubs in Major League Soccer that participated in the 2021 season Fort Lauderdale CF, New England Revolution II, North Texas SC and Toronto FC II will begin play in MLS's new developmental league MLS Next Pro in 2022. North Texas Soccer Club is a professional soccer club playing in the MLS Next Pro, a third division league of American soccer. The team is owned by, and operates as the reserve team of the Major League Soccer club FC Dallas.
