Garn Stephens is a retired American film, television and theatre actress and writer. She is known for her roles in the television series ''Phyllis'' and the 1982 horror film '' Halloween III: Season of the Witch''. Career Stephens began her career on stage as a theatre actress. She performed as Estelle in the original stage play ''Father's Day'' in 1971 and played the original character Jan in the Broadway production of '' Grease'' the following year. Throughout her 20 year career, Stephens made many television guest appearances, beginning in 1975 with an appearance on the series ''Wide World Mystery'' and a guest role on CBS sitcom ''All in the Family''. Jake Garn
Edwin Jacob "Jake" Garn (born October 12, 1932) is an American politician and member of the Republican Party who served as a United States senator representing Utah from 1974 to 1993. Garn became the first sitting member of Congress to fly in space when he flew aboard the Space Shuttle ''Discovery'' as a payload specialist during NASA mission STS-51-D (April 12–19, 1985). Prior to his time in Congress, he served as the mayor of Salt Lake City. Early life and education The son of a World War I pilot, Garn was born in Richfield, Utah. Garn also attended East High School, Clayton Middle School, and Uintah Elementary School. Kevin Stacy Garn (born January 14, 1955) is an American politician and the former Republican majority leader of the Utah House of Representatives. Until his resignation on March 13, 2010, following personal disclosures, he represented District 16 of Utah, which covers Davis County, Utah. Early life, education and business career Kevin Garn was born in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Layton High School. Garn attended Weber State University. He dropped out to focus on his business, KSG Distributing, a music and movie distribution company that he started while still in high school. Garn founded Pegasus Music and Video, a music and retail store, in 1985 after purchasing an existing store in Bountiful. GARN is an American alternative energy company and manufacturer of smokeless wood-burning furnaces with integrated hydronic thermal storage. History GARN pioneered wood gasification in conjunction with thermal storage in 1984, after GARN founder Martin Lunde developed the technology under a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy in the late 1970s, along with researchers Richard Snyder and James Buesing. Lunde was awarded patents in wood-fired hydronic storage in the early 1980s. Space adaptation syndrome (SAS) or space sickness is a condition experienced by as many as half of all space travelers during their adaptation to weightlessness once in orbit. It is the opposite of terrestrial motion sickness since it occurs when the environment and the person appear visually to be in motion relative to one another even though there is no corresponding sensation of bodily movement originating from the vestibular system. Garn-yr-erw
Garn-yr-erw is a village in south-eastern Wales, lying at the source of the Afon Llwyd north of Blaenavon and Pontypool, within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire. The village lies at an altitude of approx 400 metres on the side of Gilwern Hill, Monmouthshire and is cited by the Ordnance Survey as the highest village in Wales.
