Gargantua (album)
''Gargantua'' is the seventh studio album by Australian blues musician Ash Grunwald (with Scott Owen and Andy Strachan from The Living End). The album reportedly took six days to record and was released in June 2013, peaking at number 46 on the ARIA Charts. Background and release In an interview with NQ Music Press, Grunwald explained his connection with Scott Owen goes to back to when they were in a cover band together. In 2012, the two of them were working together for a charity foundation and laid down the vocals for a cover of Gnarls Barkley's " Crazy". The duo invited ask Andy Strachan to work on the track and according to Grunwald, "it sounded amazing!". Ash Grunwald
Ash Grunwald (born Ashley Mark Groenewald, 5 September 1976) is an Australian blues musician. He has released nine studio albums and has received five nominations for ARIA Music Awards. Five albums have charted in the ARIA Albums Chart top 50; ''Fish out of Water'' (2008), ''Hot Mama Vibes'' (2010), '' Trouble's Door'' (2012), ''Gargantua'' (2013) and ''Mojo'' (2019). The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Matt Taylor (musician)
Matthew Taylor (born July 1948) is an Australian blues musician. He is best known for his work with long-lasting blues band Chain and for the hit song "I Remember When I Was Young". Biography Matt Taylor was born in Brisbane, Queensland in July 1948. He grew up in a working-class family in the suburb of Spring Hill. His father, who had emigrated from Liverpool, England, was a tram-driver. Taylor began listening to blues records in high school, and taught himself the guitar and harmonica. In February 1966 he joined the Bay City Union, one of Australia's first electric blues bands. They moved to Melbourne in December 1966 and achieved some success playing in dance halls and clubs. Philip John Manning (born 1948) is an Australian blues music, blues singer-songwriter and guitarist. Manning has been a member of various groups including Chain (band), Chain and has had a solo career. As a member of Chain, Manning co-wrote their January 1971 single "Black and Blue (Chain song), Black and Blue" which became number one on the Melbourne charts and also Judgement, which reached number two in Sydney. Gian Piero Reverberi (born 29 July 1939 in Genoa) is an Italian pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, and entrepreneur. Biography After obtaining Diplomas in piano and composition from the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa, Reverberi worked in a wide range of media, including TV themes, spaghetti Western soundtracks to pop and rock records, where alongside Robert Mellin he composed the memorable theme music to the children's TV series ''The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe'' in 1964. He created the Rondò Veneziano ensemble. Gian Franco Reverberi (born 12 December 1934) is an Italian composer and musician. He worked mainly on the soundtracks for Spaghetti Westerns. Reverberi was one of the first Italian rock music artists. He also worked with his brother Gian Piero on the song "Last Man Standing" (or "Nel Cimitero di Tucson") from the 1968 soundtrack of ''Django, Prepare a Coffin (Preparati la bara!)'' "Crazy" is the debut single by American soul duo Gnarls Barkley, taken from their 2006 debut album '' St. Elsewhere''. It peaked at number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and several other countries. The song was leaked in late 2005, months before its regular release: it received airplay on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, and radio DJ Zane Lowe also used the song in television commercials for his show. When it was finally released in March 2006, it became the first single to top the UK Singles Chart on download sales alone. The song remained at the top of the British charts for nine weeks, the longest number-one spell for more than ten years.
