Garfield Heights High School
Garfield Heights High School is a public high school located in Garfield Heights, Ohio, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It is part of the Garfield Heights City School District. The school currently contains approximately 1,300 students. The mascot is the Bulldog and the school colors are navy blue and gold. The current principal is Tammy Hager. New Performing Arts Center Garfield Heights Board of Education presented the grand opening of the performing arts center on November 3, 2007. The building includes a 792-seat Auditorium, a make-up room, a storage room, several changing rooms for Music Express, Drama performers, and Band members, and two classrooms, one being the Band room, and another for the Choral department. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. Wilma Smith (born July 24, 1946) is a former American local television news anchor who spent most of her career in Cleveland, Ohio. She was with Fox affiliate WJW-TV from 1994 to 2013, following 17 years at ABC affiliate WEWS-TV. Philip Maurice Pozderac (born December 19, 1959) is a former American football offensive lineman in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame. Early years Pozderac attended Garfield Heights High School, where he practiced basketball and football. He accepted a football scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. In his first two years he was a backup at right tackle behind All-American Tim Foley. Carl Monday is an investigative TV reporter for WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. "Carl Monday" was initially an on-air pseudonym, but became his legal name in 1972. In May 2006, his report on the viewing of online pornography, among other lewd and lascivious behavior in Cleveland-area public libraries, managed to draw widespread attention on the Internet. Numerous sites posted a link to the video clip for its perceived comedic value. In the report, Monday confronted Berea resident Michael Cooper, who was caught on camera masturbating while viewing pornographic images in the library. Monday elicits denials from the resident and uses an unemotional deadpan speaking tone when describing the resident's acts, before revealing that he in fact taped the acts. Joseph "Trey" Lewis III (born October 18, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Mornar of the ABA League and the Montenegrin League. He played college basketball for Penn State, Cleveland State, and Louisville. Early life Lewis was a successful basketball player while at Garfield Heights in his hometown of Garfield Heights, Ohio, leading the team to three conference titles in his four years there. As a senior, he averaged 23 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game, leading the team to a 24–2 record, the best in school history. Solon High School, founded in 1898, is a public high school located in Solon, Ohio, a southeastern suburb of Cleveland in the Northeast Ohio Region, the 15th largest Combined Statistical Area in the United States.
