Gary Morgan (footballer)
Gary Morgan (born 1 April 1961) is an English former footballer who played in the Scottish Football League for Berwick Rangers and the Football League in England for Darlington in the 1980s. He played as a left back. Morgan began his football career with home-town club Consett before spending two seasons playing in the Scottish Second Division for Berwick Rangers. In 1985, he returned to England to join Football League Third Division club Darlington for a £10,000 fee. During his four years with the club they were relegated twice. He left after the second relegation, that took the club into the Conference. Early life and education Morgan was born in Putāruru, New Zealand, to Welsh migrants Roderic and Mary Morgan. He was the second of five children and the first to be born in New Zealand. Gareth Morgan (born 22 March 1977) is a South African politician and a former member of parliament with the opposition Democratic Alliance. He is a former Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, and previously worked as South Africa's Shadow Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs. He was South Africa's first carbon neutral Member of Parliament. He resigned from office in January 2013 to pursue a career in consulting., before joining the City of Cape Town as Principal Trade and Investment Officer in June 2015.
