Walter Gardner Speirs (born 14 April 1963) is a Scottish football manager and former player. Career Playing During his playing career, Speirs played for St Mirren, Kilmarnock (on loan), Dunfermline Athletic (on loan), Hartlepool United, Airdrieonians, Bathgate Thistle and East Stirlingshire. Managerial He was on the coaching staff at Clyde, and from 1996 to 1998 held the position of Manager. Subsequently, he joined the coaching staff at Aberdeen, eventually taking the role of assistant manager and in December 2002 was briefly named caretaker manager following the resignation of Ebbe Skovdahl. He worked as caretaker manager of Ross County in October 2005 until the end of the 2005–06 season. He became assistant manager of Partick Thistle in May 2007. Airdrie, North Lanarkshire
Airdrie (; sco, Airdrie; gd, An t-Àrd Ruigh) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It lies on a plateau roughly 400 ft (130 m) above sea level, and is approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of Glasgow city centre. , the town had a population of around 37,130. Laurie Ellis
Laurie Ellis (born 7 November 1979, in Edinburgh) is a Scottish football coach and former professional footballer. Ellis played for Raith Rovers over three spells, St Mirren, Cowdenbeath and Stirling Albion. As a coach, he has twice served as caretaker manager at Dundee United and was appointed Queen's Park manager in May 2021, before being released in December. Playing career Ellis started his senior career with Raith Rovers after joining from Edinburgh amateur club Links United.
