Garan Evans
Garan Rhys Evans (born 16 February 1973) is a Welsh people, Welsh former rugby union footballer, who played as a Rugby union positions#Full-back, fullback for Llanelli RFC, Llanelli, the Scarlets, Llanelli Scarlets and Wales national rugby union team, Wales. Evans was born in Trimsaran and educated at Ysgol y Strade in Llanelli. He made his international debut for Wales on 27 June 1998 in Pretoria against South Africa national rugby union team, South Africa; the Welsh team were beaten 96–13. Evans did not play for Wales again until 2003, when he was capped against Ireland national rugby union team, Ireland at Lansdowne Road; Wales lost the match 12–35. He then played in the victory over Scotland national rugby union team, Scotland. Trimsaran
Trimsaran is a community and former mining village which lies on the B4308 between Llanelli and Kidwelly, in the Welsh county of Carmarthenshire. Trimsaran is six miles (10 km) from Llanelli, and from Carmarthen. It is close to Burry Port harbour, Pembrey Country Park and the Millennium Coastal Park. The community is bordered by the communities of: Llangyndeyrn; Llanelli Rural; Pembrey and Burry Port Town; and Kidwelly, all being in Carmarthenshire. Between 1909 and 1953 Trimsaran Road railway station on what had been the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway, served the miners and the residents of the village and locality. Lansdowne Road
Lansdowne Road Stadium ( ga, Bóthar Lansdún, ) was a stadium in Dublin owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) that was primarily used for rugby union and association football matches. The stadium was demolished in 2007 to make way for the Aviva Stadium on the same site, which opened in 2010. The stadium took its name from the adjacent street, Lansdowne Road. Location The stadium was situated in the neighbourhood of Ballsbridge in the city's Dublin 4 area. The stadium had convenient public transport links as the Lansdowne Road station of the Dublin Area Rapid Transit rail system is adjacent to the site and passed directly underneath the West Stand. Scarlets Players
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup (which replaced the Heineken Cup from the 2014–15 season). The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. The Llanelli Scarlets were founded in 2003, as one of the five (now four) regional teams created by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). The 2003 Rugby World Cup was the fifth Rugby World Cup. Originally planned to be hosted by India, all games were shifted to Australia following a contractual dispute over ground signage rights between the Indian Rugby Union and Rugby World Cup Limited. The pre-event favourites were England, regarded by many at the time as the best team in the world. New Zealand, France, South Africa and defending champions Australia were also expected to make strong showings, with New Zealand being second favourites after victory in the southern-hemisphere Tri-Nations championship. The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in men's international rugby union and is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union.
