''Garam Masala'' () is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language comedy film written and directed by Priyadarshan, featuring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal, Rimi Sen, Neha Dhupia and Rajpal Yadav. The story revolves around Mac (Kumar) and Sam (Abraham), two photographer friends, like to flirt with women constantly. After a trip abroad, Shyam decides to disrupt Makarand's life when he sees him enjoying the company of three ladies. It was a remake of 1965 American film '' Boeing Boeing''. The film was released during Diwali in 2005, received mixed reviews from the critics, Kumar was appreciated for his performance He also won Best Actor in a Comic Role award at the Filmfare Awards. Priyadarshan
Priyadarshan (born 30 January 1957) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam and Hindi films, while also having done six films in Tamil and two films in Telugu. He has done about 31 films in Hindi alone, the highest number of films done by any Hindi film director after David Dhawan. He was one of the first directors in India to introduce rich color grading, clear sound and quality dubbing through his early Malayalam films. Priyadarshan has also directed many advertisement films. Mayur Puri is an Indian screenwriter, lyricist, actor and film-maker working in Mumbai. Shitala Pandey, better known as Sameer Anjaan, is an Indian lyricist, writing songs such as "Mujhe Raat Din Bas", predominantly in Hindi language films. He is a Guinness World Record holder for writing the most songs. He was awarded this honor on 17 February 2016. His father is the famed Hindi lyricist, Lalji "Anjaan" Pandey.
