Gaolo Elisara
Gaulo () is a town in the Sool region of Somaliland/ Puntland(Somalia). History From 1909 until 1910, Gaulo was the capital of the Darawiish. In 1920, the British Army used Gaulo as a forward base for the Taleh offensive against the Darawiish. A book published in England in 1951 lists the coordinates as ''QAULO''. In 2009, World Food Programme (WFP) implemented a program to protect internally displaced persons throughout Puntland, as part of which approximately 50 metric tons of various food items were distributed to 2,052 people in Gaulo. In November 2013, fighting broke out in Taleh Taleh ( so, Taleex, ar, تليح) is a historical town in the eastern Sool, Somalia, Sool region of Somaliland. As of September 2015, both Puntland and Somaliland had nominal influence or control in Taleh and it's vicinity. Sool
Sool ( so, Sool, ar, صول) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in south eastern Somaliland/north western Somalia. It borders Togdheer to the west, Sanaag to the north, Ethiopia to the south and Nugal, Bari to the east. Its capital city is Las Anod. The region is disputed by the self-declared Republic of Somaliland and Puntland, a Federal Member State of Somalia. The region is partially controlled by both polities. Taleh
Taleh ( so, Taleex, ar, تليح) is a historical town in the eastern Sool, Somalia, Sool region of Somaliland. As of September 2015, both Puntland and Somaliland had nominal influence or control in Taleh and it's vicinity. The town served as the capital of the pre-independence Dervish movement (Somali), Dervish movement.Laurence, p.47. Halin, Somaliland
Halin ( so, Xalin) is a town in the Sool region of Somalia. It was the headquarters of the Dervish movement during 1903–1904. Government Traditional councils of elders and village assemblies are responsible for administration, and village chiefs are also nominated by councils of elders and assemblies. No elections are held.
