The Gantrisch is a mountain in the north-western Bernese Alps, located between the Simmental and the Aar valley in the canton of Bern. The mountain lies near Gurnigel Pass, from where it is usually climbed. A trail leads to the summit. Ochsen
The Ochsen (or Ochse) is a 2,188.4 metres high mountain in the Bernese Alps, overlooking Schwefelbergbad in the canton of Bern german: Berner(in)french: Bernois(e) it, bernese , neighboring_municipalities = Bremgarten bei Bern, Frauenkappelen, Ittigen, Kirchlindach, Köniz, Mühleberg, Muri bei Bern, Neuenegg, Ostermundigen, Wohlen bei Bern, Zollikofen , website .... It is the highest mountain of the Gantrisch chain. The Louigrat is the easiest path (T3, slightly exposed at the top: very steep rocky passages), taking approximately 3 hours. Another path goes via the north ridge via Chli Ochsen (T4, steep, rocky and slippery). There is a memorial just below the small summit area. Simmental
The Simmental ( en, Simme Valley) is an Swiss Alps, alpine valley in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. It expands from Lenk to Boltigen, in a more or less south-north direction (Obersimmental (district), Obersimmental), and from there to the valley exit at Wimmis near Spiez it takes a west-east orientation (Niedersimmental (district), Niedersimmental). It comprises the municipalities of Lenk, St. Stephan, Switzerland, St. Stephan, Zweisimmen, Boltigen, Oberwil im Simmental, Oberwil, Därstetten, Erlenbach im Simmental, Erlenbach, Diemtigen and Wimmis. Gurnigel Pass
Gurnigel Pass (el. 1608 m.) is a high mountain pass in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It connects Riggisberg and Zollhaus. The culminating point of the road lies on the eastern flank of the Selibüel. The pass is the venue for an annual cross-country skiing race.
