Gamleby is the second largest locality situated in Västervik Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden with 2,775 inhabitants in 2010. It is situated about 20 km north-west of Västervik, in the area known as Tjust. Gamleby (which means "old village") was the original location of the town Västervik, first mentioned in 1275 (as Västervik). In 1433 Västervik moved to its present place, but a small settlement remained here. The bandy and football club Tjust IF has its home in Gamleby. Tore Holm
Tore Anton Holm (25 November 1896 – 15 November 1977) was a Swedish yacht designer, boatbuilder, and sailor who competed in the 1920, 1928, 1932, 1936 and 1948 Summer Olympics. Sailing career He started out in 1920 as a crew member on the Swedish boat ''Sif'', where he won the gold medal in the 40 m² class and eight years later he conquered the bronze medal, as a crew member on the ''Sylvia'' in the 8 metre class. In 1932 he won his second gold medal, this time being on the crew of the ''Bissbi'', in the 6 metre class. At the Olympic Games in Berlin, 1936, he did not win a medal after finishing fourth in the 8 metre class competition. Conny Torstensson
Jan Conny Torstensson (born 28 August 1949) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder or forward. He represented Åtvidabergs FF, Bayern Munich, and FC Zürich during a career that spanned between 1967 and 1980.
