Game Tengoku
is a 1995 vertical-scrolling shooter arcade game developed and published by Jaleco. The game is a parody of arcade shooters in a vein similar to the ''Parodius'' series. It was followed up with a sequel, ''Gun Bare! Game Tengoku 2''. An updated port of the Sega Saturn version for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, titled ''Game Tengoku CruisnMix'', was released on November 29, 2017. The official English localization was released on November 29, 2018. A port for Nintendo Switch was released in Japan on December 19, 2019. Jaleco
was a corporate brand name that was used by two previously connected video game developers and publishers based in Japan. The original Jaleco company was founded in 1974 as Japan Leisure Company, founded by Yoshiaki Kanazawa, before being renamed to simply Jaleco in the early 1980s. This company was later acquired in 2000 by PCCW, who rebranded it as their Japanese game division, PCCW Japan, before reverting it to Jaleco in 2002. In 2006, Jaleco became independent from PCCW and renamed to Jaleco Holding, having their video game operations spun off into a new company, also called Jaleco. This new spin-off company was sold to mobile developer Game Yarou in 2009, with Jaleco Holding renaming itself to Encom Holdings shortly after. is a 1985 shooter video game developed and published by Jaleco for arcades. In ''Field Combat'', the player fights as a commanding officer in a futuristic battlefield. It was ported to the Famicom by Tose, which was later re-released for the Wii’s Virtual Console in 2007. A sequel game, ''Field Combat DX'', was released for Japanese mobile phones in 2004. In video games, a power-up is an object that adds temporary benefits or extra abilities to the player character as a game mechanic. This is in contrast to an item, which may or may not have a permanent benefit that can be used at any time chosen by the player. Butasan
(also known as ''Mr. Pig'' and ''Pig and Bombers'') is a 1987 arcade game developed by NMK and Jaleco. Summary The player controls a pig and the aim of the game is to blow up other pigs by throwing bombs at them. The bombs are randomly spawned across the map and can be picked up and thrown at the other pigs. The bombs are given a number between 5 and 30; when the bomb is thrown it takes that number of seconds to explode. Bombs which directly hit pigs explode on contact. Various power ups are available throughout the game such as gas that makes all other characters fall asleep. A bonus sub-game involves random pigs popping out of holes, and the player must knock them back down the hole with their own pig, in a similar mode of gameplay to Whack-a-mole.
