Galina Bukharina
Galina Petrovna Bukharina (russian: Галина Петровна Бухарина; born 14 February 1945) is a Soviet track athlete. She competed mainly in the 100 metres and 4 x 100 m relay. She is head coach of 400 m and relay athletes of India, at NIS, Patiala. Personal life Galina was born at Voronezh, Russia during Soviet era. In 1989 she moved to the US seeking better medical treatment for her daughter, who was suffering from cancer. She became a US citizen. She initially worked as an elder care aide and house cleaner. She has three grandchildren. Career Athlete Bukharina trained at the Armed Forces sports society in Moscow. She competed for the Soviet Union in the 1968 Summer Olympics in the 4 x 100 metres. She won the bronze medal with her teammates Lyudmila Zharkova, Vera Popkova and Lyudmila Samotyosova. She participated at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Armed Forces Sports Society Athletes
Armed (May, 1941–1964) was an American Thoroughbred gelding race horse who was the American Horse of the Year in 1947 and Champion Older Male Horse in both 1946 and 1947. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1963. Background Armed was sired by the great stakes winner Bull Lea, the sire of Citation. His dam was Armful, whose sire was Belmont Stakes winner Chance Shot and whose grandsire was the great Fair Play. Besides being small for his age and very headstrong, Armed had the habits of biting and kicking hay out of his handler's pitchfork. Since he was also practically untrainable, his trainer, Ben A. Seaman Muhammed Anas Yahiya (born 17 September 1994) is an Indian sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres distance. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 400 metres and the 4 × 400 m relay, and holds the national record (45.24) in the 400 meters, which he set at the 2019 Czech Athletics Championships. Early life He was born on 17 September 1994 in Nilamel. Anas took up athletics at the Style Sports Academy in Nilamel. He initially trained in the long jump, and changed to 400 m by chance, when his school team was looking for a last-minute replacement for a 400 m competition. His younger brother competed in the long jump at the 2017 World University Games. He studied at Sree Krishna College, which was affiliated to the Calicut University.
