Galhinna
Galhinna ( si, ගල්හින්න, pronounced ; ta, கல்ஹின்னை, pronounced ) is a village situated in the Kandy District, Central Province, Sri Lanka. The town is located nearly away from the town of Ankumbura and is surrounded by the villages of Ramakotuwa, Udagama, Bulugaha Ela, Welgala, Galkanada, Medilla, Alawatta, Bebilagolla, Kovila Muduna, Kandekumbera. It is located north-west of the Kandy, at an altitude of above sea level and is one of the highest points in Kandy. Etymology The name Galhinna is derived from the Sinhalese "gal" and "hena", meaning "stone fence". The name refers to the area's rocky landscapes. Rubber, also called India rubber, latex, Amazonian rubber, ''caucho'', or ''caoutchouc'', as initially produced, consists of polymers of the organic compound isoprene, with minor impurities of other organic compounds.
