He is noted for his role in developing the careers of Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Vince Gill, Clint Black, Miranda Lambert, and The Judds, among others. Svetlana Alekseevna Galante (born 23 May 1973) is a Russian judoka and a sambo practitioner. She is considered to be one of the greatest practitioners of Sambo and is a member of the FIAS Hall of fame. Biography Galante was born in 1973 in Chișinău, Moldavian SSR. While at St. John's in 1964, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league all-star. Galante was selected as the 833rd and final pick of the 1966 Major League Baseball draft by the New York Yankees.
