Phaseoleae
The plant tribe Phaseoleae is one of the subdivisions of the legume subfamily Faboideae, in the unranked NPAAA clade. This group includes many of the beans cultivated for human and animal food, most importantly from the genera ''Glycine'', ''Phaseolus'', and ''Vigna''. Taxonomy Although the tribe as defined in the late 20th century does not appear to be monophyletic, there does seem to be a monophyletic group which roughly corresponds to the tribe Phaseoleae (with some changes). The earlier concept of Phaseoleae is paraphyletic relative to the tribes Abreae and Psoraleeae, plus most of Millettieae and parts of Desmodieae. Diocleae
The tribe Diocleae is one of the subdivisions of the plant family Fabaceae. The Diocleae can be distinguished from other members of Fabaceae by combination of features involving the woody vine or shrub habit, stipellate trifoliolate leaves, nodose pseudoraceme inflorescence, flowers with a distinct hypanthium, and calyx with lanceolate lobes, the lower lobe longer than the remaining (except in the specialized resupinate flowers of ''Canavalia''). Genera Diocleae contains the following genera: * ''Canavalia'' Clade ** '' Canavalia'' Adans. * ''Dioclea'' Clade ** ''Cleobulia'' Mart. ex Benth. ** ''Cymbosema'' Benth. ** '' Dioclea'' Kunth ** ''Macropsychanthus'' Harms ex K. Faboideae
The Faboideae are a subfamily of the flowering plant family Fabaceae or Leguminosae. An acceptable alternative name for the subfamily is Papilionoideae, or Papilionaceae when this group of plants is treated as a family. This subfamily is widely distributed, and members are adapted to a wide variety of environments. Faboideae may be trees, shrubs, or herbaceous plants. Members include the pea, the sweet pea, the laburnum, and other legumes. The pea-shaped flowers are characteristic of the Faboideae subfamily and root nodulation is very common.
