[Gajarkot] is a Village development committee (Nepal), village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5385 people living in 983 individual households. It contains 9 wards. Ward No.: 1 »» Kathekot, Ward No.: 2 »» Katahre, Ward No.: 3 »» Dumkot, Ward No.: 4&5 »» Putgau & Puttar, Ward No.: 6 »» Attrouli, Ward No.: 7 »» Baindi, Ward No.: 8 »» Gajarkot., & Ward No.: 9 »» Dumrebesi. The community here consist of mixed type. Magar and Newar are in majority in Kathekot and Dumkot while Brahman and Kshetri are in majority in Baindi, Dumribesi, Atrouli and Puttar. A cannel from local '' Maidi Khola'' is dug that irrigates the plain land of Baindi, Bhantar, Atrouli and Puttar. Tanahun District ( ne, तनहुँ जिल्ला , or ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Damauli as its district headquarters, covers an area of and has a population (2011) of 323,288. Previously the town of Bandipur was its district headquarter. This district lies in the middlemost of country Nepal. The postal code of Tanahun is 33900. Bhanubhakta Acharya (Nepali: भानुभक्त आचार्य; 1814 – 1868) was a Nepalese poet and writer who translated the great epic Ramayana from Sanskrit to Khas language. His birthplace is Chundi Ramgha Tanahun Nepal. Bhanubhakta Acharya was born on 29 Ashar, 1871B.S. in Tanahun district of Nepal. Village Development Committee (Nepal)
A village development committee ( ne, गाउँ विकास समिति; ''gāum̐ vikās samiti'') in Nepal was the lower administrative part of its Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development. Each district had several VDCs, similar to municipalities but with greater public-government interaction and administration. There were 3,157 village development committees in Nepal. Each village development committee was further divided into several wards ( ne, वडा) depending on the population of the district, the average being nine wards. Zones Of Nepal
Until the establishment of seven new provinces in 2015, Nepal was divided into 14 administrative zones ( Nepali: अञ्चल; ''anchal'') and 77 districts ( Nepali: जिल्ला; ''jillā''). The 14 administrative zones were grouped into five development regions ( Nepali: विकास क्षेत्र; ''vikās kṣetra''). 1991 Nepal Census
The 1991 Nepal census was a widespread national census conducted by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics. Working with Nepal's Village Development Committees at a district level, they recorded data from all the main towns and villages of each district of the country. The data included statistics on population size, households, sex and age distribution, place of birth, residence characteristics, literacy, marital status, religion, language spoken, caste/ethnic group, economically active population, education, number of children, employment status, and occupation.
