Gainare Tottori
are a Japanese football club, based in Tottori, Tottori. They play in the J3 League. Their team colour is green. Their team name ''Gainare'' derives from the Tottori dialect word ''gaina'' meaning "great" and Italian ''sperare'' meaning "to hope". Their team mascot was a Japanese horror anime character Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro created by Shigeru Mizuki, a native of Sakaiminato, Tottori. History The club was founded in 1983 as Tottori Teachers' Soccer Club (鳥取教員団サッカー部 ''Tottori Kyōin Dan Sakkā Bu''). They opened their gate to players with other professions in 1989, renaming themselves ''S.C. Tottori''. They adopted their current name in 2007. Axis Bird Stadium
The is a 16,033-capacity multi-purpose stadium in Tottori, Tottori. The stadium is home to J3 League side Gainare Tottori. The stadium hosted Ecuador's national selection during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. It was formerly known as Tottori Stadium. Since April 2008 it has been called Tottori Bank Bird Stadium for the naming rights. The stadium has also hosted rugby union games. Izumo, Shimane
is a city in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. Izumo is known for noodles and the Izumo-taisha Shinto shrine. History Izumo Taisha is the oldest Shinto shrine in Japan. In 2008, the holy area was open to the public from 1 August until August 17, after which extensive renovation work began. The nearby Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo, also located in Taisha Machi, has artifacts from the site. In 2009, a team of archaeologists announced that they likely discovered—at the Sunabara Remains in Taki-chō, Izumo City—the oldest stone tools ever found in Japan. The find totaled about 20 tools dating back an estimated 120,000 years: about 80,000 years earlier than previous estimates of when the first humans arrived in the Japanese archipelago. J2 League
The or simply J2 is the second division of the and the second level of the Japanese association football league system. The top tier is represented by the J1 League. It (along with the rest of the J.League) is currently sponsored by Meiji Yasuda Life and it is thus officially known as the . Until the 2014 season it was named the J.League Division 2. ALO's Hokuriku and YKK AP, both based in Toyama merged before the season to become Kataller Toyama. Fagiano Okayama, New Wave Kitakyushu and MIO Biwako Kusatsu were promoted from Regional leagues by the virtue of their placing in the Regional League promotion series. New Wave Kitakyushu and Kataller Toyama were approved as J. League associate members at the annual meeting in January. Fagiano Okayama were approved back in 2007 when playing in Regional league.
