Gail Brown
Gail Marjorie Brown ( Ziegler; born October 11, 1937) is an American former actress. She is best known for her role as Clarice Hobson on the NBC daytime soap opera '' Another World'' (1975–1986). She is the older sister of the late film actress Karen Black. Early years Brown was born Gail Ziegler and grew up in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, Illinois. She is a daughter of Elsie ( née Reif), a writer, and Norman Arthur Ziegler, an engineer and businessman. Brown graduated from Maine Township High School East in 1955. Her younger sister was actress Karen Black. Before she became a professional entertainer, she worked as a hatcheck girl, a typist, and a waitress. Career Brown left home for New York, planning to become a professional dancer. She became an understudy and dancer in a national touring company of ''Funny Girl''. William Russ
William Russ (born October 20, 1950) is an American actor and television director. He played Alan Matthews on the sitcom ''Boy Meets World'' (1993–2000) and appeared in the television series '' Wiseguy'', the soap operas '' Another World'' and ''The Young and the Restless'' and the feature films '' The Right Stuff'' (1983), ''Pastime'' (1990) and ''American History X'' (1998). Career Russ' acting first began on the New York stage before he embarked onto a television and film career. In 1977, he had his first supporting role in '' Death Bed: The Bed That Eats''. This film would not be officially released until 2003. Maine East High School, or Maine East, and officially Maine Township High School East, is a public four-year high school located at the corner of Dempster Street and Potter Road in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, in the United States. It is part of Maine Township High School District 207, which also includes Maine South High School and Maine West High School. The building itself, constructed in the 1920s, is noted for its distinct Art Deco style. History Maine East was known as Maine Township High School when it was built in 1929 as a replacement for the original Maine Township High School, which itself had been built in 1902. Harding Lemay
Harding Lemay (March 16, 1922 – May 26, 2018), also known as Pete Lemay, was an American screenwriter and playwright. He was best known for his stint as head writer of the soap opera '' Another World''. Career Lemay was head writer of the soap opera '' Another World'', from 1971 to 1979. The series earned a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 1976. By 1979, Lemay decided not to continue writing the series for a ninth straight calendar year, and first handed over the reins to a new writer before exiting for good later that year. He also wrote out three of the show's most popular actors George Reinholt (Steve Frame), Jacqueline Courtney ( Alice Matthews Frame), and Virginia Dwyer (Mary Matthews), in 1975.
