Gaffar Okkan
Ali Gaffar Okkan (1952 – January 24, 2001) was a Turkish police chief who was assassinated in an ambush in Diyarbakır, southeastern Turkey. Early life Ali Gaffar Okkan was born in Hendek, Sakarya Province in 1952. He graduated from Police College on September 30, 1970, and attended the Police Academy in Ankara. He completed his education on September 29, 1973. Career Okkan was commissioned in the rank of Assistant İnspector ( tr, Komiser yardımcısı) to Izmir Police Directorate, where he served in many posts until he was then promoted to Superintendent ( tr, Emniyet amiri) with his appointment to Şanlıurfa in 1983. He became Chief superintendent ( tr, Şube amiri) in 1985. Later in 1986, Okkan was appointed to Eskişehir on the post of the General Directorate of Security. Bumin Gaffar Çitanak
Fikret Hakan (born Bumin Gaffar Çitanak; 23 April 1934 – 11 July 2017) was a prolific Turkish film actor and a recipient of the honorary State Artist, a title awarded by the Turkish government. Hakan was born as Bumin Gaffar Çitanak in 1934 to Gaffar and Fatma Belkıs. His mother was a head nurse while his father was a literature teacher. He moved along with his parents as a teenager from Balikesir to Istanbul, and enrolled in Galatasaray High School. Hakan began his artistic career in 1950 as an actor for the Ses Theatre and a contributor to literary magazines. Making his debut in ''Evli mi bekar mi'', a short comedy directed by Muhsin Ertugrul in 1951, and his feature film debut in 1953 in '' Köprüalti Çocuklari'' (Kids Under the Bridge), he has made over 170 appearances in film to date, although his career was at its most productive throughout the 1950s and 1960s through to 1976. Gaffar Ahmed
Gaffar Ahmed is a former Fiji Labour Party (FLP) Fijian politician of Indian descent. Ahmed was born in Ba and is a former police officer. He represented the Ba West Indian Communal Constituency, one of 19 reserved for Indo-Fijians, from 1995 to 2006. Ahmed was Assistant Minister for Home Affairs in the Peoples Coalition Government from 1999 to 2000. On 19 May 2000, he was among the 43 members of the People's Coalition Government, led by Mahendra Chaudhry, taken hostage by George Speight and his band of rebel Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) soldiers from the Counter Revolutionary Warfare Unit. He was released on 21 May 2000, after he signed a paper resigning his seat in Parliament.
